Hair
Girls’ hair should be worn off the face either in a secure bun for all ballet classes or a pulled back out of the dancers face for all other classes. Boys’ hair should be neatly combed for all classes.
Ballet & Pointe
All female ballet students must wear a solid black leotard in any style, Capezio ballet pink tights, and pink canvas or leather ballet shoes. Pointe students may wear short black skirts. Male students may wear black men’s tights, unitard, shorts, or jazz pants with a white t-shirt or UnderArmour sports shirt and black or white ballet shoes with black or white socks.
Performing Arts
Any style or color leotard, pink, tan or black tights, dancer boy shorts, Capri or long jazz pants or dance leggings, pink ballet shoes for ages 2-7, black jazz shoes for ages 8 and up, black tap shoes for all ages. Hair must be worn out of the dancers face either in a ponytail or with the sides pulled up. Absolutely no jeans, shorts of any kind, school uniforms, baggy shirts or jackets.
Hip-Hop
Long, baggy pants or Capri length pants with a camisole, tank top or long sleeve shirt are appropriate. Tennis shoes are recommended for these classes. Ball caps, beanies, bandanna, arm bands, etc. are acceptable. Hip-Hop is about an attitude when you dance, so anything that makes you feel good and play the part of a hip-hop dancer is great. Hair should be worn out of the dancers face either in a ponytail or with the sides pulled up. Absolutely no jeans or school uniforms.
Contemporary, Acro/Conditioning, Circuit Training & Latin Ballroom
Any style or color leotard, pink, tan or black tights, dancer boy shorts, Capri or long jazz pants or dancer leggings are appropriate. Dancers may wear Capezio foot undeez, jazz shoes, or bare feet for class. Hair must be worn out of the dancers face either in a ponytail or the sides pulled up. Absolutely no jeans, shorts of any kind, school uniforms, baggy shirts or jackets.
